Face Coverings Required Beginning This Sunday
With over 130 cases in Parker County (as of July 2, 2020), beginning Sunday, everyone must wear a face covering while at our church. Yes, Governor Abbot’s Executive Order lists an exception for worship, but we don’t need to take any chances. We want to treat other people the way we would want to be treated. (Luke 6:31) I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want someone (knowingly or unknowingly) carrying Covid-19 to pass the virus to me. Generosity is a good character trait to have, but not when it comes to contagious diseases.
If you need a mask and don’t have one, we will have a limited supply on hand.
Here is more information from Pat Deen, our County Judge and head of the Parker County Emergency Management.
Governor Greg Abbott today issued an Executive Order requiring all Texans to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth in public spaces in counties with 20 or more positive COVID-19 cases, with few exceptions. The order states, “Every person in Texas shall wear a face covering over the nose and mouth when inside a commercial entity or other building or space open to the public, or when in an outdoor public space, wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from another person not in the same household.” To read the full Executive Order GA-29: https://open.texas.gov/…/EO-GA-29-use-of-face-coverings-dur…
