Missions Focus: Jesus Loves the Little Children

We believe that children are a gift from the Lord!

For the next three months, our missions focus is “Jesus Loves the Little Children”.

During the month of September, we are collecting funds to send to our missionary to the Philippines, Paul Byars. Rather than purchasing gifts for children, paying for international shipping, and subjecting the gifts to the long turnaround through customs, we are directly giving to Paul’s ministry. He is able to purchase Christmas gifts for the children he ministers to, making our missions donations dollars go farther. That’s good stewardship! A collection container will be available during all of our church services.

During the month of October, we will collect items for shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child. During the early days of November, we will distribute what we’ve collected into a number of shoeboxes designed by Samaritan’s Purse. The past two years we have donated scores of shoeboxes to that ministry to bless the children at Christmas.

Finally, during the month of November, we will collect toys for local charities to distribute as part of their Christmas outreaches.
