Happy Reformation Day!

On this day in 1517, a monk and college professor, Martin Luther posted his “95 Theses” on the door of the church at Wittenberg, Germany.
What happened next changed the course of history, not just church history, but world history! Music changed. Art changed. Church architecture changed.
And thanks to the invention of the Gutenberg Printing Press in 1440, the Bible could be translated and distributed in the language of ordinary Christians. No longer would they have to rely on church officials to read and understand the Bible.
Luther and other Reformers called upon church leaders to rely on the Bible as their sole authority in faith and practice. They emphasized salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone. These doctrines were called the Five Solas of the Reformation.
Our church uses modern translations to read and study God’s Word. If you don’t have a Bible that you can read and understand, come worship and study the Bible with us! We may be able to give you a Bible that’s reliable and readable so you can grow in a relationship with God!
Growing in Grace and Knowledge,
