2024 Jesus Loves the Little Children Christmas Project
Faith Community Baptist Church has done outreaches throughout our history. Even though we are small in number, we have a huge heart for missions! Every year, we collect funds to send to a missionary in the Philippines so he can purchase toys for the children in his church and orphanage. We also collect toys to give away to children in the surrounding community. Finally, we make a special donation to Grace House, a local ministry that among other things, provides services to pregnant teens and counsels them on options for keeping their baby, provides education for expectant parents, and even has a boutique for mothers. There are lots of things this worthwhile ministry does and we’re glad to partner with them!
We call our Christmas project, “Jesus Loves the Little Children”.
Each year our church collects toys and personal items for children in other parts of the world for Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child. We take the stuffed shoeboxes to a local collection center where they are loaded into semi-trailers. This year, the Weatherford collection center filled over two semis! The official report was that over 18,000 shoeboxes were collected in our local area.
This picture only shows a few of our members who collected and packed items for the children.
Who knows where these shoeboxes end up?!
Yesterday morning at the end of our worship service, our members prayed over the shoeboxes we had packed in the previous few weeks.
Here are some of our members who took our shoeboxes to our local collection center.
If you’re looking for a small church with a big heart, check us out!
Come grow with us!
